Dr. Shneker and his staff have ALWAYS been gracious and welcoming. I've had to request same-day appointments several times when some major pain has hit me suddenly, or a UTI, they've always fit me in. If it's minor or routine, the waiting time for an appointment is, usually, only a few days. I usually go to the W.W.White location as it's a mile from my house, though I've been sent to the Southcross location a couple times when the schedule is packed. Yesterday (Friday), I was in extreme pain because of my shoulder, and, as I didn't know if it was a simple muscle-tear, or a bacterial infection connected to bursitis, I called (around 10 a.m.) to request a possible appointment, after 1:30. I was told I could go in as a 'walk-in' (at W.W.White). I could have been there until closing (as they had others with appointments ahead of me), and that would have been just fine...but they were able to get me in a room within a few minutes, and I got seen about an hour after arriving. I was thoroughly checked over, blood was drawn, X-rays ordered, and I was on my way to get X-rays and prescriptions soon after. Dr. Shneker has many doctors-in-training, as well as Physician's Assistants, attending to patients, and all are knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. I'm ever so grateful he took the practice over when Dr. Woods retired. He's much more professional in his handling of matters and all things medically-related, as well as staff-attitude. Dr. Shneker has had his system in place long before 'Oak Street Health' began touting their 'oh-so-original' walk-in appointments, older-patient-care, etc. I'm sure they are great, but Dr. S. has been 'old-school' (as were my doctors when I was younger) for a long time. Slowing down and paying attention to the patient isn't new...it's just been bypassed for many years by corporate medicine. Thank you Dr. S. (JKF)

Doctor Cheryl King is the best doctor, first she always listens and ask questions, checked my medical records and visits and update changes in the medications. It’s hard when you have HMO to get a referral from my insurance. I have to call my insurance per the referral department from Dr Office that I have to call for the Dr I need? I never heard of that? But other than that I like Dr Cheryl King.

I have covid but I was supposed to get a perscription for it but 1 day has gone by and still no med.dr didn't write orders right so meanwhile I'm sick and heb and I and drs office are going in circles.very frustrated when I feel horrible and can't get med for covid.

Absolutely cannot recommend this office. the front desk staff are misinformed and do not give correct information. Made appointment with Dr. Shneker, but was pushed off to a very incompetent nurse practitioner. Later I was informed Shneker was out of the office on the day of my appointment. That would have been fantastic information at the time. I would have scheduled accordingly. Came in for a simple physical but was done about halfway. no blood work done. did not check sinus, ears, throat, hernia, and so on. If had not spoon-fed information, he never would have asked. All the nurse practitioner wanted to do is recommend shots, even after I told him I was not wanting shots of any type. A was a complete waste of time and money. I called into billing the following day, but after two weeks still no call back. on this date call in 7 times before someone actually answered the phone. asked for a credit to insurance, but the nobody there clearly does not know what they are doing. only advise was to file a complaint with the medical board. WARNING--- find health care somewhere else. I have not had such a terrible experience in over 25 years....never again!!

Her staff is the best , they treat you with kindness and respect. I will be her patient until the Lord calls me home. As a first-time patient, I was happy to get an appointment very soon after my call. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly and did not have to wait much to be seen. The PA was very thorough and both the PA and the doctor actually listened to what I had to say.

I don't remember the name of the PA that saw me but I was really impressed on the way he really listened to me and the way I was feeling.

All well other than my wait time to be seen. I’ve been a patient for a very long time & have never had to wait (2) hours to be seen. I called to make an appointment that morning & it was at 10:15am. I arrived at that time & was told to call when I arrived & they would check me in. I was triaged in my vehicle after an hour but was not called in until another hour later. I expressed my concern to the person I saw & said they took walk ins as well. I’ve been a walk in before & very grateful they have worked me in, but I feel they should adhere to those with appointments & call them in at their specific appointment time. When I’ve been a walk-in in the past, my wait was very long because I was told they were taking those with appointments first as they arrived. This was not true on my visit yesterday. I wasn’t feeling well & was very disappointed.

The new PA was very thoughtful and was very interested in my past medical history. He discovered a medical issue that had not been followed up on. Dr Shneker then came in and ordered tests to further investigate the issue.

The dr was very thorough on the information I received and answer all the questions I had.

Rral good service, the only thing I did not like my first visit,,,was that they sent in to the shipping container. That thing is a breeding disease box you walk in there the ac will hit you right on the face,,,,also they made wait outside for 45 minutes on a 104 temperature weather ...service was good with drs.

I like the pleasantness of the doctor, pa’s, nurse practitioners, nurses and office staff. No long wait time for appointments or lab work. During office visit my questions are answered. Sometimes when I call and leave a message I have to follow up on my call/message. I feel comfortable at this office though and I feel comfortable asking my questions.

This is not true in other healthcare settings, and I appreciate it so much at SA Premier Internal Medicine!!

I have been with primer since 2018 But with Dr. Cheryl King since 2020-21 and let me tell she’s OUTSTANDING!!!!! I have seen my fair share of PCP but never like her. She listens to your c/o she’s the only Dr that I have met that calls you on her off day wkend what ever day it is with your labs/x-rays /MRI results to make sure you’re not stressing out on the out comes, she’s on top of referrals if one is needed.
